Las nominaciones a los premios BAFTA 2026 por fin salieron y, como era de esperarse, ya armaron conversación, debate y uno que otro coraje cinéfilo. Mientras Hollywood se prepara para los Oscar, Reino Unido también levanta la mano con su lista oficial rumbo a la gran noche del cine británico, que se celebrará el 22 de febrero en Londres.
Entre los nombres que más ruido hacen aparece Guillermo del Toro, quien vuelve a demostrar por qué juega en otra liga. Su película Frankenstein consiguió ocho nominaciones, colándose en categorías clave como Mejor Actor de Reparto, Fotografía y Mejores Efectos Especiales. Nada mal para una historia oscura, intensa y cero complaciente, justo como le gusta al director mexicano.
Pero quien realmente se robó el reflector fue One Battle After Another, que arrasó con 14 nominaciones y se posiciona como la favorita absoluta de la temporada.
